Smart Moves Tutoring is an Australian Tutoring Association approved tutoring centre that provides tutoring, mentoring and guidance for students at all stages of schooling – from year 4 up to their HSC. We pride ourselves on not only focusing on marks, but also on the student and their development, thereby aiding them in realising their potential.
In our experience, one-on-one tutoring is the most effective way to address an individual student’s needs. Every tutor at Smart Moves Tutoring takes their role in their student’s learning seriously; they assess and track the progress of each individual and develop teaching structures which will most benefit their student’s study. In addition, by matching the personality of the student to the tutor, we reach much higher learning outcomes. One of the biggest problems that students encounter in large classes is that they find no opportunity to have their questions answered. By focusing solely on the individual student, our one-on-one sessions provide an environment where questions are encouraged and answers forthcoming. We believe that it is in being flexible and tailoring our tutoring style to the individual student that we at Smart Moves Tutoring provide a service that cannot be successfully found in other tutoring environments.
For our primary students, Smart Moves Tutoring’s experienced tutors can help your child develop strong literacy and mathematics skills. In our one-on-one sessions, we encourage your child to develop a positive attitude towards study through fun and interactive activities. For students leaving primary school, we offer one-on-one tutoring for those sitting the Selective Schools examination and Private School Examinations. This tutoring focuses on exam-taking techniques, time management skills, how to interpret the question and proficiency with required text types and syllabus content.
