Tutors are exploring new heights……

The year started with a few goodbyes… we said goodbye to Flo who left us to start her career in teaching, ...we said good-bye to Simona as she completed her law degree and travelled through Europe, ..to Nick NG to start his career in software with CISCO, ..to Hamish to focus on his last year of medicine, ..to Matt C to study further and focus on his economics law degree, ..to Matt G to continue studies, ..to Prethi to media working in Japanese, ..to Ari to a career in law, ..to Kendall to continue working with the wiggles internationally, Mike R Gareth B. to travel and Damien who studies physics in Denmark.

So after a challenging start to the beginning of the year 2010…..
We welcomed Genevieve to be our director of all things at “front desk”, telephones, admin, organisation
and keeping us all in line.
We also welcome new tutors Amy, Michelle, Melanie, Stewart, Nick C, Nick M, Tom, Kathleen, Emma, Manouk, Alex, Annabelle – except she is off already to study in France and will be back with us next year – good luck Annabelle !

Thank you to our “veteran” contract tutors who are back for another year at Smart Moves, your skills, enthusiasm and professionalism is welcome and great mentor’s to our “newies”, Congratulations to,

• Ellie, (4yrs) as she excels in her chosen sport and represents Australia in Tae kwon doh.
• John (2yrs) continues to tutor and also represent Australia in Frisbee
• Stephanie (4yrs) as she has completed her degree and has decided to stay with Smart Moves this year
• Rowan (4yrs) continues with Smart Moves while completing his Phd on the middle ages
• Anna is back this year (2 yrs),as front desk on Sundays and tutoring through the week and doing 2nd year at Uni
• Sophie (3yrs) on front desk on Saturday and tutoring through the week and doing honours!!!!
• Ed (2yrs) who continues to tutor and manages all things IT and has designed PASS our new “to be” software system
• Gina (1yr) completed her first barrier in honours and continues to tutor
• James (4yrs) on his last year of medicine and still has time to tutor...
• Kirsten an original Smart Mover that’s 6 years! - is now -teaching full time and still tutoring with us
• Imogen (3yrs) and completing her last “prac” in term 3 for education while tutoring primary
• Gerard (3yrs) and completing his Engineering degree and tutoring on Saturdays
• Chris F (3yrs) completing his degree in Primary Education and tutoring
• Ally (2yrs) continues her ‘Economics’ degree and tutoring
• Emile (2yrs) started his Honours and still tutoring
• Andrew C (3yrs) welcome back from China to continue his studies in Law and holding on to Saturday tutoring
• Leanne our bookkeeper and all things financial is doing further studies at Uni go Leanne!!

And now at the end of Semester 1 / Term 2 we have achieved amazing results for our students with several students achieving in the top 10% in their class, many other even achieved perfect marks in HSC assessments.

So, thank you all for your hard work, effort and dedication with your students, your energy and enthusiasm to succeed for yourselves and your students is to be commended.
